Re: The call from my Urologist team

I am sure you will make the right decision Jazzi
Only you know how fit and well you feel and how up for it you have
to be to contemplate going through the same thing again.
Pain relief should be given for something like this and I hope
you get it this time. You need to numb the brain from remembering
pain otherwise it can give you pain when there should not be any there.
Naughty brain.
Take care and look after yourself.

Re: The call from my Urologist team

I'm in a similar position though not sure I'll be in line for an operation. If it's fairly straightforward, I'd much prefer the op.
As I had been about to book a holiday, I phoned an insurance company and found the premium would be only about £40 extra - that's for a single trip which includes my diagnoses, but not sure if I want to take the risk of ending up in some foreign hospital. Can others confirm that the E111 reciprocal health care scheme still applies in Europe?

I take it you know all about the NHS choices scheme???

Re: The call from my Urologist team

Thanks all.

Carol, as much as I'd love to order that double bed I can't, as the bedroom refurb is a major project!!

I need a team of people to help.

Erm, can someone call 60 minute makeover or DIY SOS?!!

Re: The call from my Urologist team

It's surprising what voluntary services are out there Jazzi. My mum once got her lounge & staircase decorated entirely free of charge by people who were doing community service.
They were naughty lads admitted - but there was a social worker in charge of them at all times so it wasn't so bad. All mum had to pay for was the wallpaper.

It would be nice if you could get your team of people Jazzi.

Re: The call from my Urologist team

My problem Carol is that I need to empty a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, a tv unit, all the rubbish that is stacked one wall under the window. Empty bedroom completely, take up old carpet, redecorate, have new carpet fitted, order new bed and choose/order furniture.

A project I can't take lightly and immediately.

Oh Jazzi, what rotten luck. When do you have to let them know?
I'm sure many of us are behind you, whatever you decide. Good luck. x
