I had three bridesmaids and material and patterns for their dresses was posted to two of them. We all met up the night before the wedding for a bit of a party at my home. They brought their dresses and lo and behold someone's Mum had made up the material inside out!!! Oh and one of the others was about 7 months pregnant!! On the day, the photographer didn't turn up until after we'd gone into Church so I didn't have a photo of me and my Dad - and my veil nearly blew away several times. It was a smashing day though and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We celebrated our 43rd wedding anniversary about a month before my husband died.

Congratulations on your Ruby Wedding CC. How lovely!

We didn't have any hitches, but separated at 30 years which was terribly sad.

I still love to hear of couples being married for many years. Hope you have many more
