I still have the Start/left-click option as well as the Right/right-click option.

What's simpler than pressing the power off button?

(If I recall, it is set by default to send the computer to sleep, but changing it takes only seconds.)

Re: Windows 10 anniversary update

It depends on which way you want to skin the cat .....

A power off button may have up to 7 settings plus associated action times dependent on the power source:
  • No Nothing
  • Shut Down
  • Sleep
  • Hibernate
  • Turn Off Display
  • Restart
  • Lock

If you have multiple devices and use patterns then the same setting may not be applicable to all in all situations - being offered a selection may influence a different choice in the current situation .....

Of course. I have two laptops and both are set so that the power off button shuts down the computer. I never use sleep or hibernate and if I wanted to restart the computer, there is still that option (and others) on-screen.

I prefer simple and quick!
