He made an appeal on facebook but not sure if he got it back or not. I think it was around £90 in total. I suppose the Post Office have to stipulate that or there would be a lot of fiddling - over-paying friends etc.

Been sorted i went back today and explained to them. I am keeping the extra plants as i can do a double row and put them all closer as i would like a really strong secure hedge that cannot be walked through.

Well done Doc. just imagine if that hedge had grown into the shape of the cashier's face and every time it rained, a tear rolled down her cheek.

Sorry i didn't say but i paid the extra for the plants i will find a use for them all they will not be wasted.

..the extra ones will give you a really good strong hedge Doc ...so all ended well for you both Least you dont have to suffer a guilty conscience anymore
