The sun is an aggravation for me too - I do welcome it but it does my vision in especially since the cataract surgery.
But a wear a flat cap with a bill or sometimes my Culross baseball cap.

Think yourself lucky, I have band practice across the road! Even with the windows closed I can hear the heavy metal rubbish!!!
