Re: Drinking at home..

Red wine for me and yes at home. The cost of drinking in pubs etc is prohibitive.
Actually, the cost of wine here is almost prohibitive too...

Ahh, nice to see another whiskey drinker. That's all I drink. Don't like beer or wine or gin or vodka or most all other alcohols, although I do occasionally enjoy a White Russian and I like Irish Cream once in a great while, but don't drink it often, as it's too sweet to drink on a regular basis.

As for drinking at home, home is the ONLY place I drink now. I used to out to bars (pubs) a lot, years ago, on a regular basis and as I've gotten older, I've realized that drinking and driving isn't what I want to be doing anymore. So drinking at home is the safest option and I usually have a few drinks every night, with the exception of Sunday. Sunday is my day off from everything, including the computer, the phone and the outside world in general.

Re: Drinking at home..

I do enjoy our three mile walk on a Saturday afternoon to the pub in the next town. A few drinks and a natter. They make up trays of sandwiches for the customers. Really enjoyed it yesterday. Not as cheap as a bottle of wine indoors though.

Re: Drinking at home..

I probably drink at home, more than out. I'm zero tolerance when it comes to drinking and driving. So, I'm happy to walk three miles to the nearest pub now and again
