Re: Is this the oldest photo?
It seems that Sheffield’s connection with the CI. began with the son of a professional soldier named Job Hunneybell (b.1822, Sgt Major 98th South Yorkshire Regiment) whilst serving at the Alderney Garrison, his son Charles (b.1856 in Sheffield) married (1879) an Alderney woman called Emily Houguez. Later their daughter Sarah, married Thomas Charles Audoire in 1900 and they moved to Sheffield. Thomas Charles Audoire in the 1901 Census is listed as a railway blacksmith from Alderney and is living in the Holme Lane- Hillsborough area of Sheffield, not far from where I live. An "Alderney Colony began to take form"Re: Is this the oldest photo?

You need to go through Photobucket or follow directions on "How to post photos" thread http://www.over50sforum.com/showthread.php?t=14Re: Is this the oldest photo?
I have loads of old photos. I have one of my great great grandmother taken around 1876, it is quite freaky, I wouldn't have liked to have seen her on a dark night!Re: Is this the oldest photo?
