Re: Has anybody had a blind dog?
My ex-inlaws had a blind dog for years, and he managed beautifully for years. However, one night he was heard destroying the door frame of the lounge door overnight. Took to the vet next morning, and had to be put to sleep, as it turned out to be a brain tumour. I suppose something causes the initial blindness, but I would have doggie checked out.Re: Has anybody had a blind dog?
I read that you can take little balls of cotton and put a drop of essential oils on them and lay them along the area where the dog tends to walk into things. The smell tells them they're too close to something. You can also rub a little oil (after testing) on legs of chairs so they can smell them.
