I guess it is to do with the kind of email addresses used.
Some people use a mail box as an intermediary rather that an email address which goes straight to their PC.

They are web based e-mail addresses, Hotmail etc.
Some forums are now only allowing people to register with their Internet Provider address, which make it easier to stop banned members from returning under another identity.

Me too also I would say if no one feels the need to respond it could be we all agree with you, I think if people disagree they are more likely to respond.
