After living in many counties and spending years working in a Public School I have lost my regional accent and I don't think anyone would be able to detect my origins.
That said if I were to go back to Derbyshire for any length of time I am sure my accent would return very quickly. It is dormant rather than dead
One cannot beat a good old Scouse accent, can one Laaaahhhh?!
After all, I find that the Ladies love my Liverpool accent, and can listen to it all night!

I love all accents. They're enjoyable to listen to.
I'm told I have one, but don't think I do.
It's a bit of Kiwi, mixed with a few years of Aussie, then some Canadian thrown in.
