Mind you Patsy, I thought he wrote a very good article in yesterdays paper about fox hunting. He said:
" I was proud to vote for the Hunting Act in 2004 to prevent the brutal killing of foxes to satisfy the blood lust of a few brainless toffs.
Despite 80% of the public and the majority of MP's being against relaxing the ban, this government is considering amending the law to replace the current limit of two dogs to flush out a wild animal.
A vote to bring back fox hunting could happen as early as this week.
It's no surprise to find Owen Paterson, the so-called Environment Sec. floating out a proposal on hunting. this is the man whose incompetence led to the inept response to the floods and who bodged the badger cull.
The reason made for killing the badgers was the fear of them spreading bovine TB to cattle. The only reason for amending the fox hunting ban is to give pleasure to a bunch of ruddy-faced toffee-nosed twits."
