I had such a lump in my throat at the end, with wots-his-name leaving and taking his little girl with him, then Mr. Bates coming back to Anna for christmas, and Mr.Carson proposing to Mrs.Hughes, aah (sigh), I love happy endings. Brilliant acting all round.
It was lovely wasn't it Mups the trouble is I will have forgotten it all by next Autumn

Really enjoyed the Christmas episode but about time Mr Bates and Anna had some happiness and were both out of prison for a while

I agree, the Christmas episode of Downton was excellent. I expect they'll do a what happened before the new series, may even repeat that one.

That's what happens for me - but I think I'll remember this time - it was such a lovely episode - I went to bed feeling really happy, a programme that can do that for you is very rare .......

I totally agree with you Patsy. Lovely feeling to go to bed on.
