Re: Just When We Thought it Was All Over...!

According to the Press (DT), UK + EU talks resume, by video conference, next week.

Apparently, the Government says it will not delay the transition period.

Michael Gove will co-chair the virtual meeting, with Maros Sefcovic ( EU Vice Pres ) to oversee the implementation of the withdrawal agreement.

Maybe I was wrong when I said I expected them to push it further along the tracks!

We'll See!

There are some ten teams on both sides that each discus a different aspect of brexit. Each set of teams can push on, depending on how many are fit enough.

Hi

No point in delaying the technical bits.

The Politicians will decide the outcome when they are ready.

Yes, and I expect Gove will rush away to find his place in the race for top deputy to Boris.

The DT, though, doesn't put him in the top 3 candidates.

I doubt the EU have a negotiating position now the member states have trashed the single market by taking it upon themselves to end freedom of movement.

Also, I doubt the 27 trust the EU anymore anyway after its treatment of spain and italy.

Patel, I hope.

Could be another Mrs Thatcher. God knows we need another strong PM.

I wouldn't kick her out of bed.

I think I'd prefer Seven of Nine though.
