No I wouldn't give someone the money but I would offer to pay for the tea and a snack .

In the days pre covid when I used to shop I sometimes bought sandwiches for those begging.
One was call Sky, he has gone now found dead in a doorway a couple of Christmases ago .

At my daughter's M&S workplace, there are a few regulars who turn up and are given food by customers.

Some of them try to sell the donated food to passers by for a discount. Guess they do need some cash, and not all of them are druggies.

No. But some of them are written on old parchment, so might be worth something at an auction. Never did get round to settling up.
