Just off the Top Road along the Mainland A836, it's the road to the Lighthouse at Dunnet Head, the B855.
I sometimes use a much reduced copy of this photo as my Avatar.

There's a good chance I've driven through it then as I have been on the A836 a few times in my life.

Re: It occurred to me, while I was cutting my toe nails.

Some folks can fall asleep in the bath when the candles are lighting and soft music is playing, one fella up the road from me fell asleep and his wife, who is a great friend of my missus, called down to us in a panic, she had been banging at the door for ages and got no reply, the door was locked. The three of us went up to the house and I brought a jemmy with me from the shed, I forced the door open and there was yerman snoring and the water up to his nose, another few minutes and he was under. All the lads in the pub call him 'Sleepy O'Toole' ever since, he was lucky, we never lock the bathroom door when having a bath since that day, there endith the lesson.

I daresay your neighbours toenails were exceptionally soft & malleable after all that.

No doubt Robert. Now there's an idea, maybe some company could come up with a gel or cream to soften the toe nails before cutting, especially for the big ones, they can be very tough, I actually took my gauge to a severed big toe nail once, would you believe it was 1.5 MM thick at the centre!, that's nearly the same thickness as a penny.

Jem - you should 'always' soak yer feet first to soften the toe nails, throw in a bit of radox or bath stuff, so they smell nicely too
BTW - there is a cream available to soften the nails, I'm sure 'Boots' sell it.....
