Meg I really understand, I lost my husband this year and our wedding anniversary is Dec 23, his birthday is Dec 24 then of course Christmas. It will be hard this year and for a while I think. We both liked the winter snuggling up with hot chocolate watching Christmassy type movies. I have moved into our retirement house which has an open fie and near the sea and countryside, lovely winter walks for the dogs.24-10-2015, 09:17 AM

I knew Weymouth well, we used to live in Dorset and went to the Spinnaker restaurant on the quayside now long gone I expect.
There are some beautiful walks down there
I love the sea in the winter when it is wild and the beaches empty.
