G'day from Australia, Gianetta !You will certainly encounter the good the bad and the ugly in here.
Most of us are human but if you venture into the serious threads like politics and such, body-armor is recommended -
particularly if you think that Muslims should be treated fairly.
Best let me know which end of the U.S. you call home because I sometimes use the generic term "Yanks" which tends to upset some southerners

Thank you for a warning about the political threads - I will be sure to stay away.... I do not want to upset anyone so it is best if I say nothing.
I DO live in the Northeast of the US - and I am refer to as a Yankee from many of my friends who live in the South - but I do not dwell on the Civil War times and neither do they - it is just a term of endearment from them, and I know that. No problem for me. Thank you again! Nice to meet you.
