Re: Which causes the greater pain?

A few years ago after waking up from a second round of major surgery I overheard a surgeon talking to a young chap who had come off his motorbike and crushed one of his testicles, the surgeon was reassuring him that he could " function " normally with just one, even in my morphin and pain induced state I actually winced and tried to cross my legs!

Re: Which causes the greater pain?

There are lots of degrees of pain, some on going from chronic complaints. My children were Ceasarian births so no birth pain, just sore healing after . I think my strangulated Hernia was possibly my worst pain ,had I not had emergency surgery I would have died

Can't help thinking stubbing a toe must be worse even when in pain quite badly a stubbed toe can make most people swear

Labour pain is the hardest to bear but the easiest to forget.
The worst pain for me was from a tooth abscess.

the question was
Which causes the greater pain?

you just can't beat having a wife nagging all day every day. it might not be physical pain but just as bad

That could be termed as a 'pain in the butt' though.

Re: Which causes the greater pain?

Well, that's close to childbirth isn't it?

At the time those was the worst pains, but I don't remember them now. I do know I heard or read that the reason for this is it's nature's way otherwise we would only have one child! No idea if that's true or not.

It would be nice if men could experience something similar but I have a feeling crushed wotsits are not high on nature's list in terms of importance - so that would be the greater pain, imo.

Had many pains, but a dentist drilling too close to a nerve would probably be at the top.
