Re: Forgiveness..

As I said on the other thread....... If someone upsets me & it's their fault & later they do say sorry, then yes I'll forgive them, I have done that.

Murder, no. How can anyone forgive that.

Someone breaking into my house to steal & stealing items, probably not, if they took anything of personal nature & special to me, if they were caught & returned them, yes. If when they broke in they were armed & violent & trashed the place, definitely no.

Daughters OH cheating, if daughter forgives & takes him back, possibly, as I'd want to keep Daughter as a friend. Depends if I liked him originally also, but I'd keep my feelings to myself if I hadn't liked him.

There are people who in some way hurt my children that I will never forgive unto my dying day .

Coincidentally we said something along the same lines (though not quite as politely!) today

I remember my wise old aunt saying to me, "Everybody deserves a second chance."

I think it would depend on what they did.
But if someone wronged or hurt my kids or grandkids I don't think I could forgive.

Sorry back on topic... So your daughter/son forgives their partner, so you must forgive and forget too
That would be none of my business and entirely up to them.
