I agree that (pre-Corbyn) UKIP were the only party offering anything other than lickspittle, neo-liberal politics. There wasn't a cigarette paper's thickness between Tory, Labour and LibDem policies (no matter what they might try to claim in order to keep the masses happy). At least UKIP offered a way out of the EU mire and an opposition to mass immigration - the new imperialism. Unfortunately, UKIP is a single (double?) issue party which is able to unite disillusioned "old" (ie socialist) Labour voters, the worried middle class and true blue "little Englander" Tories under their anti EU, anti-mass-immigration banners. As a governing party, however, they would simply implode as there are no policies (other than EU/Immigration) which could unite such disparate groups of supporters. I would still vote tactically for UKIP if I thought there was a realistic chance of getting us out of the corporate capitalist, anti-democratic, bureacratic monstrosity which is the EU, but as a party of government - no way!

Born and bred there Joe , when times WHERE hard , all the way down to the basement to the only tap to get water. No gas or Electricity or heating while German Bombs dropped around me. Followed by years of rationing and austerity.
Plus I live on a State Pension.
