Pizza and salad. It was going to be roast duck but got back too late from the allotment. At least the salad leaves were growing an hour ago so they should be tasty.

Portuguese rolls are a bit lighter in texture than Italian bread (soft, open crumb) a little shorter and wider than a hoagie roll, with a light, kind of crisp crust.

Todays lunch was - in spite of the weather - a summer dish;
1 tin of tuna in water (drained), 1 hardboiled egg (chopped), 1 small tin of sweetcorn (drained), pickled gherkins (finely chopped), mayonaisse. Mix the ingredients and leave in the fridge for a couple of hours. Served with a jacket potato & a glass of cava this tastes of summer in the south.....
