There is a lot of info packed into that, he’s stating that it’s very urgent and has to be done “Come what may” He’s also telling us that he was in bed when it dawned on him, and the fact that he says ‘Some time today” suggests it almost slipped his mind, otherwise he would have stated the exact time.
Well you did ask didn’t you?

Yes I certainly did and I thank you for the detailed observance. This is extremely interesting, however, I would question that he is suggesting it almost slipped his mind and offer the theory that he indicates a state of disorganisation

Re: Mark's Poems & Prose

The last 2 lines need altering.

Revised edition ...

The Journey - or Evacuation

Sos I gots up this morning - some shape
My eyes were just slits trying to focus on the landscape
No appetite either but I did munch on All Bran flakes last night
Sos I should be regular and won't have to strain with all my might

Off on a journey some time today
Sos I have to get dressed come what may
And carry out some 'jobs' - responsible I am you see
Just waiting for the strong coffee rush to hit me

Sos give some thought to my plight - some empathy
Blimey - just thought - all that coffee and pee!
Ooo - I will take a p*** pot, with glee
And balance it precariously on my knee

To boldly go are we!

To Keep Learning

Heads fill up with 'stuff' all the time, don't they
It's a wonder to me - entertainment like - makes my day
When something surprises me out of the blue
Yet, confusingly enough, something I subconsciously knew

I watched a film tonight and enjoyed it a lot
Not heavy, just relaxing, not mind bending a jot
I realised I only recognized the actors by their voice
Not faces but inflections of which they had no choice

So there you go I have learned something today
Great, as I love to improve come what may
Not for me a life of indolence and waste
To become 'more' is more to my taste

Re: Mark's Poems & Prose

Whatever

Not posted a while but I'm here today
Sitting on the sofa having decided to have my say
Quite content as my belly is full of rich food you see
If you are safe, warm, fed it seems enough to me

Technology might well be our undoing I have heard
But sitting here typing on a big screen it seems absurd
As I revel in what computers are doing for one and all
I've tried the alternative and it was boring - the world seemed small

So, enjoy life as you can and take advantage of what we have now
Some old ways are as good as ever ever but appear dated somehow
Life surges forward at an accelerated pace
Then again they call it the Human Race
