That's nothing, Solo, you should him trying to remove the rats that lived in the Devon bank, with spears made from bamboo canes, he'd launch them at the rat sitting watching him & miss every time, the rat was laughing at him, as were we. We still have rats, they were here long before the houses were built too.

Hubby sounds hilariously demonic. Is it safe to ask...don't you have cats or has hubby seen them off as well

No, we don't have cat's, though neighbours have them. OH actually likes cat's. I'm more a dog person. He wouldn't let me have one though.

Ah well ... I've been away haven't I

This is as good an excuse as there is but actually, even after a visitor ignored the obstacle course I had in place and trampled on my baby grasslings, the patch has survived !

I have taken a snap and will plonk it on here in a while.

More seed has been sown this evening by the 'expert' in residence (cough-cough-choke ) ... erm ... I have never before witnessed anyone using a screwdriver instead of a rake

One must be adaptable and also one must improvise when needs arise. I applaud your 'expert' for being so inventive.

Well yes, I'd go along with that, BUT, on this occasion, the rake was to hand i.e. about 4 feet away from him.

My 'expert' was simply too lazy to pick it up and use it sensibly and initially tried his luck his luck with a cross - head screwdriver

Sadly, I have no photographs but it was fairly bizarre to watch
