Wholemeal bread causes me lots of gut problems, as does most white. The only bread I've found that I can tolerate is Kingsmill 50/50. And even then I can't eat too much of itRe: I hate wholemeal bread
I eat gluten free bread and they don't do a decent white loaf so I am stuck with wholegrain brown. I tend to eat Schar which is the only brand I'd recommend. But I miss the lovely taste, smell and texture of a fresh white loaf from the bakers..... ::sigh::Re: I hate wholemeal bread
Realist, I completely agree with you that the majority of problems associated with gluten intolerance - which is a recent phenomenon - can be averted by eating "real" properly fermented bread.
