Thanks everybody.The problem with giddiness is there are so many causes.
Mine was caused by calcium crystals in the ear canal which I am confident the exercises are helping to move along.
I still get the spinning feeling when I do the exercise so I know it's helping but the feeling isn't as intense now as it was. I rest for half an hour after performing the exercises and then feel ok (touch wood)
Giddiness from any other cause won't be helped by these exercises I don't think.
