I agree with most of you. I have great laughs and some saucy ones with even my grandchildren who are married. They call me their with it Nan. I even talk about all the latest music with them. Which I like.Re: The elderly don't need handling with kid gloves!

I'm in my fifties, and am always interested in what my elders have to say. I'm talking 80's and 90's. I work alongside them on a day to day basis in the hospital. They've got lots of tales to tell and plenty of life knowledge. I never tire of listening to them. My eldest son is best pals with my dad. When my dad was able, my son, late teens, used to go shopping with my dad and they went fishing together. My son now likes being around older people. Older people seem less old the older you areRe: The elderly don't need handling with kid gloves!

I once witnessed a fairly elderly grumpy woman attempting to get on a coach, the coach driver leant over to help her out and she shouted "I know ALL you young folk think we're ALL incapable imbeciles" which I thought was a bit odd (not to say downright rude) as she was attributing the blanket idea that ALL young people think that ALL old people need help and were imbeciles and she couldn't see the irony.Re: The elderly don't need handling with kid gloves!
