Please don't think all Brits are like Barry Bakerman.
Some are of course, but if you stick with it you will find most are not.
There are rissoles in all nationalities you know.
Who is or what is a Barry Bakerman? Answers on a post card please
I know mate, it’s a character failing of mine to see humour in everything
Hey mate, lets not knock it.
To see everything with a good sense of is a priceless trait in any human person.
It's the always look on the dark side of life lot I feel sorry for.
Miserable gits!
Now then. All sing along with me.
NOW!

Some things in life are bad
They can really make you mad
Other things just make you swear and curse
When you're chewing on life's gristle
Don't grumble, give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best...
And...
...always look on the bright side
of life...
(Whistle)
Always look on the light side
of life...
(Whistle)
If life seems jolly rotten
There's something you've forgotten
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing
When you're feeling in the dumps
Don't be silly chumps
Just purse your lips and whistle
- that's the thing.
And...always look on the bright
side of life...
(Whistle)
Come on.
Always look on the right side
of life...
(Whistle)
For life is quite absurd
And death's the final word
You must always face the curtain
with a bow
Forget about your sin - give the
audience a grin
Enjoy it - it's your last chance
anyhow.
So always look on the bright side
of death...
(Whistle)
a-Just before you draw your terminal breath...
(Whistle)
Life's a piece of shit, when you look at it
Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true
You'll see its all a show, keep 'em laughin as you go
Just remember that the last laugh is on you
And...
Always look on the bright side
of life...
(Whistle)
Always look on the right side
of life...
C'mon Brian, cheer up
Always look on the bright side
of life...
Always look on the bright side
of life...
Worse things happen at sea you know.
I mean - what have you got to lose?
You know, you come from nothing
- you're going back to nothing.
What have you lost? Nothing.
Always look on the right side
(I mean) of life...
what have you got to lose?
You know, you come from nothing
- you're going back to nothing.
What have you lost?
Always (Nothing.) look on the right side of life...
Nothing will come from nothing ya know what they say?
Cheer up ya old bugga c'mon give us a grin!
There ya go, see!
Always look on the right side of life...
(Cheer up ya old bugga c'mon give us a grin! At same time)

That’s a classic, good old British or was it Jewish humour

It's not my fault that the other 2 thread posts disappeared.
I never understood why so many French hate the British. Now, I do.
Oh dear.
I wonder whether 'Mr Baker' is actually a certain Frog lady who used to frequent this forum - all too frequently!
For the record, Mr Baker, the Frogs hate the British because they have so very often failed to better us. Agincourt, for example. They are jealous of us!
They are also perfidious. We came to their aid twice in the last century - 1914 and 1939 to be precise (that's not 1917 and 1942, by the way!) - and since then they have taken every opportunity to do the dirty on us.
For example, when we tried to join the EEC, de Gaulle vetoed our application; they wanted their old enemy Germany to be their best friend! At present their negotiator, Macron, is doing his best to force us to pay handsomely for the right to leave the EU.
The Frogs are our traditional enemy; we have been enemies for far longer than we have been 'friends', and with friends like them who needs enemies?
