If he hadn't been yanking your bag you would have stayed balanced and not cut your head. On this occasion, don't be so nice Julie, because the one who stole your bag is responsible for all your injuries... and the stress you suffered!
Good point I fall a lot so I'm used to blaming myself. I need to learn to bounce like I used to when I was a kid. My religion makes me seek to forgive though so although it's his fault I have to forgive him and let the anger go.

Julie I would expect you to forgive him, but over the next few days, when you are in pain I think it is ok for you to be a bit angry with him... it is a natural instinct. I just hope he is as decent and is feeling guilty for what he did to you.

I hope so too would be nice if he felt so guilty he doesn't do it again to anyone else.

You are far too nice and forgiving.
If this had happened to my ex, my mum or kids my religion would demand a great deal of pain and suffering for the culprit.
Police were less than helpful and didn't really want to know.
I've heard similar things about the police. In today's Which? magazine, for example, some reports of fraudulent activity and, guess what? Yes, the police weren't interested.
Which begs the question, what do the police actually do these days?
