Re: Tea cups or mugs?

I've always been a mug person but I have to say, I've been tempted to buy a china cup & saucer at one of our large thrift type stores. It does seem more sensual than a mug

The only problem is it wouldn't hold much so I'd have to refill & sometimes can't be bothered. Aren't I awful?

Here's a handy little cup, the lid on the WC opens and you can keep your biscuits there for dunking, don't forget to flush when your finished.

Re: Tea cups or mugs?

My first thoughts on seeing that, was how funny .. but the more I look at it, the less I like it .. the thought of putting my lips to a lavatory bowl - yuck!

Lovely 'boy' you have

Pat, I do believe tea bag in a mug is a man's thing
You know that's exactly what got to me! Daisymay, you should write poetry, ha ha. I was at Value Village which is a very well organized, sometimes expensive thrift store. I was looking at their china cups & saucers but they only had a few left & didn't care for those particular designs.

I am going to buy myself a cup & saucer sometime. Only thing I'm concerned about is the gold ring of paint around the rim of most cups. What if there's lead in that paint? I never drink or eat anything that has a design on the part that comes in contact with my mouth. Maybe I'll wait for a plain old boring looking cup

Daisymay, you got me going with your quote, ha ha. I finally bought a china teacup & saucer at a thrift store. It says Made In England. Anyway, I always drink my lemon/ginger herbal tea in it. I make the tea in a mug because its a bag then pour some in the teacup. Sounds silly but I don't mind. I really like this cup & saucer after using mugs my whole life.
