Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)

Haven't been near a supermarket for weeks so glad They're being sensible about safety...Morrisons was the only SM I could get a delivery slot within 3 weeks,so looking forward to some goodies being delivered on the 9th...I hope!.

I was on the phone earlier with my friend in Perth and she told me Morrisons there is a disgrace. No slot for older/vulnerable people, no sanitizer for customers, anyone in at anytime, after 8am . Only thing going is 7-8am is NHS. Says she's not going back again. Seems both Tesco and Asda have things in place though, also the big Co-op near her too.

May, I can't use the delivery, even when I'm down in Perth, seems their system doesn't like my card. So I have to go myself. Prefer to actually and people here are starting to settle down.........A bit.

Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)

Good afternoon ladies. Roxy I cant use supermarket delivery either, I've always preferred to go and buy food. May I dont think its levelling off here. One guy yesterday morning had a trolley full of veg. A woman walked round with a full trolley, then came back with an empty trolley. Going to make some vegetable soup later, I managed to get leek and carrots in the butchers.

Aye,of course I prefer to go to the shops Myself and always have done..but..We're told by the Gov' 'YOU MUST STAY AT HOME'..I really don't want My Family to be running back & forth with food for Me,so the next best thing is to shop online..but now even that is becoming impossible for some
who have no alternative but to go to the shops for food putting Themselves at risk of catching this bloody virus..hopefully restrictions will ease in the next 2/3 weeks.

Evening those figures are worrying May, it's been dead up here, hardly any traffic moving along the road. Was later going out with the dog today but still met nobody. I wear my chiffon scarf when I go out and if I have to go to the shop then I pull it up over my nose n mouth just before I leave the car, and I use the sanitizer as soon as I get back to the car. Also wear gloves. As soon as the messages are put away I scrub my hands. Trying to go to the shop only once a week, back to making shopping lists again.

From tenement windows in cities to the front doors of suburbia - Scotland pays tribute to hero NHS workers

For those standing together by staying apart, it was a chance to unite in spirit, if not in body, and pay a heartfelt thanks to those working day and night at the frontline of an unprecedented national health crisis.

God bless Them and keep Them safe

Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)

Morning All, Miserable here today that sort of drizzle that soaks you and chills you to the bone. I had no idea about the tribute till it was over and I saw it on the news. I refused to have the radio or the telly on through the day yesterday and I wasn't on line either I just wanted a rest from it all. No telly or radio today either, but might have a bash at a jigsaw later today, along with an audio book. But not until all my works done. Havre a good day …..Well as much as you can.
