Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Welcome home Nimby xxx
Lovely sunshine here . I managed to get to Mumbles to pay a bill but its chaos down there with Tesco stocking their shelves with a huge lorry blocking the road so I was back in less than an hour. Happy to enjoy the day now

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

We've had two lovely days here though I think the forecast is for it to be cooler over the weekend. Took Rob out on Thursday, had lunch at the Garden Centre and bought tomato plants - and a new hosta. Started off full of fuss and feather this morning intending to resurrect my old pressure washer and have a go at the patio since youngest son is resolutely ignoring my pleas. After a thoroughly frustrating hour - hose kept blowing off but not enough pressure to clean anything off the patio - I threw in the towel. However I have got the tomatoes into their homes and now am going to be slave to the greenhouse for the next three/four months! I do wonder if it's worth it...............

Lovely sunshine here today,really warm.
I've done half an hour tidying pots so just have to buy some new plants to go in them . My geraniums lasted for years but all expired at the same time
Enjoy the day

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

It's a lovely day. Not too hot, gentle breeze, lovely. Been to the tip. Always an exciting experience. I gave Michael's big off road mobility scooter away yesterday, to someone on Freecycle. While I was at it I started nibbling away at a double garage full to the brim. Michael has so many tools, including a milling machine and a lathe, which are huge. Everything has to be gone through with a tooth comb. A neighbour came with his wheelbarrow and took away a heap.

Can't believe I stayed up to watch that political broadcast that goes under the guise of Eurovision. Australia with a Japanese singer? Britain were dreadful as usual.

Celyn , I recorded it so fast forwarded it . It was dire !!! The Australian was a Korean girl who had emigrated to Brisbane aged 9 . She got lots of votes but I didn't think much of her
Daughter visited hlf way through so just finished watching (sort of)

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

I couldn't face Eurovision so watched the documentary about Swansea City FC! Fascinating!! Has been lovely here today, went down the road with Lexi and Missy at 7 am and it was wonderful. Good thing I covered my potatoes and the courgette plants as we had a frost last night. I've covered them again tonight as the temperature is dropping fast, though it has been really warm all day. Took Lexi back to her Dad after lunch and found granddaughter making a box (for the YFC rally in three weeks time). She was using all the power tools - under her Dad's watchful eye - and has to explain on the day of the rally exactly how she made it!
