Re: What do you remember???

I haven't read all the pages but wondered if anyone mentioned that the Smiths crisps with the blue bagged salt was 3d a bag. HOWEVER, as a kid, you could buy Smith bags of broken crisps. These were in really packed full bags and were 1d each. On a Saurday night, my cousin and I were given pocket money and we bought a bottle of Tizer between us and SIX bags of ld crisps. Mmmmmmmmmm they were super!!

I've never bought broken crisps, but I have had broken biscuits from Woolworths.

Oh yes, Jimmy, I remember buying them as well ..... Woolworth's had them in large tins containing different biscuits, I was often sent in there to ask for a pound of mixed biscuits please...

Yes, I remember Woolies tins of broken biscuits Mags. My brothers and I used to rummage through the bag at home and often find a priceless gem, say a broken bit with cream in.

Mine would last me for days Uncle Joe, putting it down 'for later', wipe the fluff off and start again. Was there a little seed right in the centre or am I thinking of something else? Thank god they're banned (are they?) could choke to death on one of those

I remember the little blue bags that were twisted at the top and was delighted when I found two were in the bag.

You can still get them today, only difference being, the blue salt bags have been replaced by little blue sachets.
