Re: Anyone want a dog?
Talking of Naughty Nellie, today when some men were working here, they left BOTH my side gates open and Nellie, being Nellie, didn't miss her chance to leg it up the road. Frightened the life out of me and grabbed the others and shoved them in the kitchen quick before they followed, then ran out the front calling for Nellie.
The nearby school was turning out so there were loads of kids, parents, and traffic going past and I just waiting for the sound of brakes screaming if she ran in the road.
Then suddenly I spotted one of my workmen, (a giant of a man about 6'6" ), walking towards me with my little bundle of trouble upside down in his arms. He had caught her playing with the school kids.
In a way, perhaps it was as well the school was turning out because if there had been no one for her to play with, she might have kept going.
She is such a pain in the bum, so quick, and sooooo naughty. Fortunately she adores people - anyone will do, just as long as they speak to her.
I didn't know whether to hug her or slap her!
Needless to say, I thanked the builder profusely.
