Re: What Was The Very First Record You Ever Bought?

I'm trying to remember whether it was Abba's Greatest hits or The Guess Who, a double Ktel album. I bought them both in 1976 when I was 14.

Re: What Was The Very First Record You Ever Bought?

The first record I ever bought was a Roy Orbison LP called "Orbisongs" in 1965. I loved the song "Oh, Pretty Woman" and that's why I bought it but of course I ended up enjoying all the songs and buying all his other albums from that one on.

The first LP I bought was a present for my older brother,it was Donovan's "Mellow Yellow"

The first album i bought for me was in Australia and was The Who "Live At Leeds"

Still got it somewhere and it is totally trashed and thrashed.

I think it was when I was in the UK in about 1961, I bought
Anthony Newley - he had made a Movie I think and I loved him from then on.
I don 't still have it but do have CD of that and others.

I remember an Anthony Newley song from 1960 - it was 'Do you Mind'. I loved it.

I'm a bit embarrassed to mention the first record I bought. It was an EP of Tommy Steele and one of the songs was called 'Cannibal Pot'. Don't know why I bought it!
