Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)
Afternoon All, Had a busy morning with one thing and another, snow is slowly melting thank heavens. Had to take the brush handle and smash all the icicles hanging from the gutters, they would have damaged the cars or hurt the dog/us if they had fallen so I helped them on their way.Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)
Hi everyone, still freezing here and a very cold wind, got towels on the line today, getting a good blow...had two harassing scam calls this morning, supposedly from amazon,,,,I don't have an account, don't use themRe: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)
good morning all, I had my jab this morning, in the community centre, the place was mobbed, everyone was so nice so glad to have it done at last.Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)
Hello everyone! Just been out with the rubbish with gloves on. All bins are sealed shut with the weather so I had to prise it open with a knife. I'm sure I made a pleasant sight out the back with a mask on wielding a knife!Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)
Morning, Bloody Blimey it's so cold here and it's the wind howling in from the sea, it's blowing a hooley.Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)
Paula I haven't seen any news today. Pixie I agree with you put them in the pokie and throw away the key. You must have made a lovely sight with the mask and the knife. Roxy I haven't heard spurtle used in years. Changed my mind about the walk its Baltic out there.Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)
Jess, Coming from the islands I grew up with the word. I've always called it a spurtle and I guess I always will. It sat in the cellar for years untill several Winters ago and I had a frozen metal lift on a gate at the side of the house, I then found the bin lid was also frozen fast. I went hunting for somethng to wallop them with and spied the spurtle, so it has a new lease of life.....but just seasonal.
