Ania darlin' we're all (apart from Ted Hutchinson) rooting for you all the way - good luck with the pre-op assessment and hope that it will all be over and done with and forgotten by the time Xmas arrives.

Not pleasant to look forward to Ania, but my thoughts are with you and willing the results to be good for you...

Re: Mammogramme

Thanks, all. Actually I've been floored by a virus over the weekend and woke today with pain in all my abdominal muscles from coughing. Nearly tried to change the clinic appointment, but went in the end. All ok, although my blood pressure was higher than it has ever been. But I think that's a blip as it has always been at a constant reasonable level, and I guess being unwell doesn't help. Still, no bar to surgery, so I guess it's all systems go.

Well done Ania. Sorry you haven't felt well, I'm sure that made your blood pressure rise.

Re: Mammogramme

Hope everyone with worries are going to be OK. Sure you will be.
A friend of mine worried like mad as she had to have a lumpectomy
She was so bad they let me hold her hand all the way to the operating
theatre and before they put her under.
She was OK in the end and the lump was benign. My point being
try not to worry too much as you can get more benign lumps and
problems than the cancerous ones.
I agree with the mammogram being painful. My first one was terrible
I thought I was being squashed to death. I have had two more since
and I think they have a different machine now and its not as bad.
I did ask and the nurse said it was a new one. Thank goodness.
I always said I bet it was a man who had invented the machine.
Its great to have one and be tested but only a man could not know
what pain it causes
