Still undecided. I have a feeling I wont get one, especially as most meals need to be kept cooking for up to 8 hours - yes, I know they are slow but that is very slow. It makes it awkward for mealtimes and I don't like leaving it on overnight.

Stella darlin' - that's the whole point - you can leave it on for hours at a time and it won't burn or spoil - uses no more power than a 60watt light bulb. As I previously suggested - you can cook a meal overnight - the smell in the kitchen first thing in the morning is fabulous!!! - I cooked a joint of belly Pork a couple of weeks ago put 1 pt of cider in with the meat - the smell was incredible!!!

Yes actually I have and no it isn't dangerous. Have also left my slow cooker on all night too and again it isn't dangerous to do so.
