It's a matter of hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. A sensible action for any government to do. Especially with one crises on and another looming on the horizon. The painful side of the matter is that this has been known for some time but was irresponsibly brushed away as project fear. But that seems to be the way political brouha can cost human life.

Also there's the worry about plants being held up at the border, not surviving the journeys to our garden centres. Better stock up on seeds and bulbs for next year!

Yes and who can blame them. It will hit us gardeners hard, you can guarantee home grown plants will suddenly get really expensive. We don't have many old fashioned nurseries anymore, the ones we had are importing.
