Do you apply the same critiscm to Sky News who also give out updates on the current situation and stats ?
You have to take a measured view on everything you hear or read. Sky News and all news programs and papers are in the business of making their news more likely to get your attention than others...........so bigger headlines......greater sensationalism. etc etc

Sensationalism: (especially in journalism) the presentation of stories in a way that is intended to provoke public interest or excitement, at the expense of accuracy.

Not exactly true - avoiding contact isn't a blanket requirement for everyone! It depends not only WHICH country you are returning from, but WHICH PART OF THAT COUNTRY, you have visited.

Probably best to phone 111 and get their advice.

Sorry, but IMO it has if it does not want this epidemic to spread across the whole country. Some schools in this area have already closed just as a precaution. Are these schools panicking?
They are trying to avoid panic!

It's a bit long and a bit dry but worth watching to the end.

WARNING contains maths.

This is excellent! Suggest those of you who are close to panic watch AND UNDERSTAND this, in preference to Sky News.

Zuleika - you don't need Sky to watch the video posted by Bruce!

Im amazed you don’t know the names . Mr and Mrs Abel have been on Facebook daily during the quarantine onboard giving updates from the Diamond Princess as well as their son being on British tv news .
We knew he and his wife unfortunately tested positive just as they were looking forward to take the flight home with others and taken into isolation .
We were still being updated.
That’s how we know their names .
The Japanese health authority have now announced to the world one of the four taken into hospital he/she has died but is not one the Abel’s .
