When he got Parkinsons bad, he moved to Doncaster, where he sadly died.

Yes I must agree about Hornsea, I visit regularly, usually in the summer though. There is a brilliant walk I love to do, best done when the tide is receding.
South along the beach [wonderful beach there] until you come to Mappleton. Leave the beach and take the road inland until you come to the disused railway which is now used as part of the Trans Pennine Route, this will take you all the way back to Hornsea via Hornsea Pottery [It's called something else now ] for sustenance....
I once cycled to Hornsea from Doncaster and back, 110 miles round trip....
Quite fast outward but had a head wind homeward.....I slept well that night...
