Our local council Kirklees, (Hawk! Spit!) has gone over to Labour (three seat majority) from many years of NOC. I shall now look forward to the waste of council tax payer's money on pet projects, one-legged LGBT community centres, `fact-finding` missions to exotic locations come winter, and any other profligacies such as fiddled expenses they can get away with. They did it once, they will do it again.

If the council does do what you say, and it wouldn't surprise me in the least, then those who voted Labour in would surely see the consequences of what they have done.
Strangely, though, many of them will just go ahead and vote the same way next time.
My suspicion is that they are mentally challenged and their tiny brains can only think of one thing: "My dad always voted Labour, so I'll always vote Labour"!

Well still a NOC in my distract.But in my ward there were two groups of independants along but with only the Labour lot and one lone UKIP fighting.
Resulting in two independent groups split MOST of the vote between them. One of them were elected
But Because of that the Labour lot only just failed to be elected by 100 odd votes.
