I think they are afraid they won't be able to control themselves if we pucker up Mort.
They could be overcome with pent up passion and lose all sense of propriety.
One man alone cannot risk this, for fear of the other men knowing how weak he has been and thereafter banish him from LTP.

So all in all . . . . . . yes, let's pucker up, quick.
