I almost think May would have been better off not saying anything at all.

Re: General Election 2017: The Result

Watching Corbyn on TV and he really believes he has WON! 😂😂

Theresa May won with 43% of votes which is the highest percentage of any Tory leader since Mrs Thatcher in 1983.

The Conservatives won the most seats and the most votes.

He must have been listening to Diane Abbott on the number crunching cos he just doesn't get it. 😝

Re: General Election 2017: The Result

For the very first time in my whole life I spoiled my ballot paper.
I wrote on it:

Dementia Tax introduced.
Winter fuel allowance gone.
Triple lock gone.

If Theresa May is wondering how come she lost the election, she need look no further than the Elderly Vote!

Once the Conservative manifesto came out with that triple whammy in it upsetting pensioners, she was a dead woman walking!

Hi

You cannot get anything for nothing.

The dementia tax would have left everyone with £100k to pass on, now we are back to £23k.

Re: General Election 2017: The Result

I truly despair of the metality which refuses to believe that all of the expensive promises made by Labour could be delivered without pain.

The national debt as it stands of around £1.5 trillion is soaking up £43 bilion a year in interest payments, and that means nothing less than our children and their children being in hock for their lifetimes, so why would anyone be selfish enough to want that?

There will always be a reckoning, you cannot spend what you haven't earned I don't care what they say.

As I have said before: 'the easily conned'.

That is why Corbyn employed the tactic of promising things he could never deliver.

It wins votes though, of course.

At the very least, hopefully this has put a stop to a horrible hard Brexit... but we'll see I guess.
Well that's what you do with the young people, you offer them sweets [or free education] and it's as simple as that.
And I believe that the biggest migration of voters came from disillusioned UKIP voters. The media seem to be stacking up the young against the old again......Why do you suppose that is?
