Same here, OG ....... I've only had flu once and wondered what on earth had hit me. Those who call a bad cold flu, have no idea .... you can't even stand up let alone get out of bed!

Loved the way someone discribed flu.

"if you look out of your window and you see a £50 note on your front lawn, with a bad cold you get up and get it, with the flu you just lie there and let the wind blow it away"

Re: Flu jabs - do you get them?

I had mine at the end of September. I also had the pneumonia one a few years back. Since having them I only ever get a cold about once a year, whether thats coincidence or not I don't know.

I usually have a flu jab every year but I'm not this time as you have to have the H1N1 jab with it and I don't think that's right! I think you should have the choice of having the swine flu jab or not!

Re: Flu jabs - do you get them?

I had my flu jab this morning - the H1N1 Swine Flu Virus has been included in the seasonal flu vaccine.

I've made no oink-oink noises yet!

I red in a daily paper weeks ago that they were including the H1N1 vaccine as the government had a lot left over. I suppose they didn't want to lose the money on it.
