After a general election, if the vote goes against you, you get a chance to put that right at the next election and to continue to campaign against them. And if the government screws up completely or is obviously leading the country to ruin, as the Brexiteers are, there's an opportunity for a vote of no confidence. Why should Brexit be any different?
If we'd stayed in the EU, I wonder whether we'd have had the opportunity to put that right at the next GE.
Oh no, of course, in the European superstate there wouldn't have been any general elections, other than electing MEPs who, of course, have absolutely no control over the ones who are really in charge: the European Commission.
In addition, even in the European Parliament, the number of MEPs that we would be able to vote for would account for only 1/27th of the Parliament. That would be like voting for the Green Party - absolutely no influence whatsoever.
