Running Far and Well? Blame it on Bacteria

We are learning that the link between our gut bacteria, brain, and overall health are more linked than we thought.

Now it seems that marathon runners may have a bacteria that most people don't have!

That's interesting SM I am aware our digestion is linked to our brain via the vagus nerve and that which we eat can affect us in many ways.

No question about gut flora, massively important for our health. It's the powerhouse of our body extracting all the stuff we need from our food and drink. Poor gut flora leads to all manner of undesirable issues.

I could do with a good strong dose of this bacteria!
Where do I get it from? (page won't scroll down for me to read it, maybe cos I'm not in the US?)

Hi Susan can't you see the link,I will post it again.
As Realist says a source of good bacteria is fermented foods like Saurkraut or Kimchi also eating a large variety of fresh vegetables and fruit every day.

We all react differently to foods and are able to process some better than others (this is thought to be why some people put on weight while others don't). There will come a time in the near future when you will be able to send away a sample and get results which tailor your diet to your own gut requirements.
