Re: Acorns

I have a walnut tree and a twisted hazelnut tree. I rarely get a nut as the squirrels beat me to it!

I remember eating Beech nuts off the ground as l walked home from school with my friends.

Realspeed, No leaves? I have lots. I wish they would go upwards instead of downwards!

Re: Acorns

Don't let any horses or donkeys get to eat the acorns, they are poisonous to them, but pigs love them.

That's a crazy amount! This is quite a year them here as well, and sometimes it can be like skating on ball bearings out in the front drive.

Squirrels are happy though. I found a massive nest sometime back in which they were using acorns by like stones by the hundreds to fortify the walls and foundations.
