Good to see the local Nursing Home Residents being taken out in wheelchairs today for a time in the sun.

They were very happy and waving to people.

Life goes on.

Nursing home means a place where persons taken into them have medical needs ? I thought they were ones who were not allowed out ?

Also - how do you push a wheelchair from 6 feet away?

Nice idea but, perhaps, not so sensible.

If they are in a nursing home Tabby I would imagine that the staff are washing and toileting the residents anyway.....

True, Foxy, very true! I think those that care for others deserve medals. Hope Queenie remembers them in her Birthday Honours list instead of footballers/pop stars et al!

Remember too the housekeeping staff, they have to clean every room, every day, and some of the stuff they have to clean up is not very pleasant..

I have a nursing home near me and I've noticed staff taking residents out for short walks...just around the green and back....I expect it's good for morale....for the staff too.
