Farewell Holden

In 2017 the last Holden car will roll off the production line and it is highly likely that car manufacturing in Australia will cease (Toyota is likely to pull the plug now)

Well that certainly looks like a beautiful car with character so many are just horrible these days. Sad when an icon disappears.

Been watching a Oz programme called the Dr Blake Mysteries and they have had some wonderful cars in that programme. I presume some were the Holden. Its set in the 1950's. They look good on those big roads you have over there. Don't think they would park well outside my terraced house though

I am hoping we get a second series of that it was very good and seeing all the fashions and cars of the time was great.
