This is one of the
first things you come up against as an FLT Operator ukmartian so bear that in mind if you are lucky enough to get a job as an FLT Operator.
When I tested FLTs we always had that in mind and all tests we did on all trucks were done exceeding what that FLT was officially rated for by at least 10% and I believe that still is the case today.
A friend of mine lost an eye in an FLT accident years ago and I know someone else with a serious leg injury that is only now seriously affecting him at work and that too was from misuse of an FLT so
keep to you training as much as you can.
Speed comes with proficiency - ask any operator of any machine or machinery.
I did night work in Rotterdam once, on the docks on FLTs, loading and unloading ships and you had to have your wits about you all the time! stevmk2
